Abbot Fire Group director Nigel Walton said: “We like to see local people enjoying these entertaining events. However safety is important, which is why we are pleased to offer free fire extinguisher hire to support local charitable and community events.”
The Buckingham-based company has offered the extinguishers to community Bonfire Night celebrations in and around Buckingham for the past three years. Last year, these included displays run by Maids Moreton Parish Council and by the Royal Oak pub at Tingewick.
Malcolm Beck, vice chairman at Maids Moreton Parish Council, said: “Gestures like Abbot Fire Group’s make things that little bit easier as all those involved are volunteers.”
