Pasty firm wins national accolade
A BUSINESS based in Milton Keynes has been named among one of the top start-up companies in the UK.
Phat Pasty Co. has made it on to the prestigious Startups 100 list, which lists the UK’s most innovative, inspiring and ground-breaking new companies.
Launched by Laura and Paul Clark (pictured) in 2007, it is ranked 47th on the list.
The venture has grown to include franchises in Bedford and Newcastle and delivers hand-made Cornish pasties to workplaces in quirky VW camper style ‘Phat Vans’.
The Phat Pasty Co now runs four vans and a buffet business. The vans visit more than 350 businesses every day.
