Lawyers celebrate double Santander contracts
COMMERCIAL law firm EMW Picton Howell has been appointed as one of a small number of law firms to support Santander Asset Finance, the UK corporate asset finance arm of Santander UK plc.
Santander’s UK Corporate Asset Finance arm is part of Santander Corporate Banking which provides lending to SMEs and corporates through finance and operating leases, and hire purchase.
EMW Picton Howell was invited to tender for the contract following its successful review of Santander’s Asset Finance documentation.
EMW Picton Howell has been working with Santander for over six years, first advising on real estate and commercial law issues. The firm has also won an exclusive two-year contract for Santander UK plc’s employment tribunal work.
The law firm’s Santander relationship manager Andrew Winfield said: “We are very pleased to have been chosen by Santander to support this high growth business area and to see Santander expand our remit..”
A team of five lawyers from EMW Picton Howell will be working on the Corporate Asset Finance account, led by head of banking and finance Ian Mabbutt.
